Book Direct with the Experts
When you travel with us, you are helping the Galapagos Islands live on for generations through sustainability, environmental, and social projects.
At Galapagos Travel Center, we aim to provide a wonderful experience while also taking care of the Islands and its people for generations to come through sustainability and preservation initiatives.
Everything we do impacts the environment around us, so in collaboration with local and international organizations, we have committed to protecting the environment, offsetting our carbon footprint, and supporting local communities in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.
Our sustainability projects have 3 main focus areas:
Conservation Foundation Jocotoco is an Ecuadorian organization that protects critical conservation areas of endangered species in Ecuador by acquiring and managing biological reserves.
Galapagos Travel Center sponsors more than 500 hectares in the Buenaventura Protected Reserve in El Oro, Ecuador through the Jocotoco Foundation. This area captures 3,860 tons of carbon, which offsets the amount of greenhouse gas emissions that we generate in all our operations.

For this sustainability project, we support two local foundations, one in the city of Quito and the other in the Galapagos Islands.
Jonathan Foundation (Quito)
The Jonathan Foundation is a non-profit organization that offers services for children with disabilities and older adults who are experiencing abandonment, illness, or extreme poverty by providing food, health care, and medical support to the most vulnerable in Ecuador.
Galapagos Travel Center collaborates monthly with the Jonathan Foundation by donating food to children and older adults.
