GALAPAGOS LEGEND CRUISE SHIP

Fatima,

Thanks to you, we are in the middle of a wonderful adventure and vacation. Everything that you arranged has worked out perfectly. And, thanks to you, not a single drop of rain during the daytime!!!! Ad this is the Rainy Season!!! The ship and cabin have been comfortable. The guides are excellent. The Ship’s Wi-Fi is only adequate for emailing, but that is fine.

Today is Tuesday, so we finish Thursday and fly back to Quito (NH Collections Hotel). Friday we will visit Otavalo; and, Saturday, fly back to Atlanta.

For your information, it only took us 30 minutes, once we were at the airport, to reach our plane. (Arriving 2.5 hours ahead was not necessary.) The Legend people at the Quito airport were everywhere and VERY helpful. For those of us living in the south of USA, the sun and temperatures were normal or even than normal: minimal sun screen was all that is necessary. And insect repellant was really needed on only one shore excursion (North Seymour Island), where we all discovered that the “natural” repellants did not work at all for anybody.

We discovered two beautiful bottles of rum from you and the Galapagos Travel Center; and also, at dinner, a bottle of wine to celebrate James’ Graduation. We are very thankful for both of these thoughtful gifts.

So, thank you again for all your expertise, kindness and patience with James and me. You have made this a “Once In A Lifetime” experience.

Fatima,

We returned from our trip last night. What an amazing time. We loved our time in the Galapagos and aboard the Legend. The day tour in Quito exceeding our expectations. Our guide, Roco, did a fantastic job. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. He added so much to our visit, so happy you were able to connect us with him. We were a bit concerned before arriving in Quito about the unrest we read of in the news back home, but we felt very safe and comfortable all day with Roco.

We also want to thank you for all your help with putting the trip together. And thanks for the thoughtful gifts left for us during the trip, especially the book of photographs from the Galapagos.

Hi Sandra

We had a fantastic trip on board The Legend: everything went well after an initial mix up about our room, but we resolved that with the Manager and he agreed to upgrade us for the last 4 nights free of charge, so that all worked out well.

We also enjoyed our stay in Quito and the guide José was very knowledgable. Thank you for all your help in organising the trip for us - it was the trip of a lifetime. It was very nice to meet you after several months of email communication.

Just want to tell you that the trips you arranged were great. Every site was a delight. The hotels were charming. The guide in Cusco was outstanding, and the guide you hired for me for the rainforest trip was extraordinary. He was sensitive to my needs, had an incredible amount of knowledge about everything , and helped me get some wonderful pictures of the animals and plants. (Your chocolates were good too.)

I wanted to thank you for organizing a wonderful trip! The Legend is an incredible ship, the guides, the staff, the excursions, the food, all of it AND most importantly the islands and the animals. Wow!

Each day was filled with wonder. What amazing experience. From beginning to end Tony, our taxi driver, a very kind, on time!, and most helpful person, to the hotels you selected for us. Once again thank you for making my/our stay in Ecuador memorable.

While Susan was enjoying the rainforest I had the opportunity to continue my Spanish learning in school, home-stay with a woman who doesn't speak English and have a wonderful tour guide, Daniela, my Spanish teacher I told you about, I got to visit many of the highlights in and around Quito.

We have returned home and almost back to normal.

Just wanted to thank you for our wonderful trip on the LEGEND.

The service was beyond excellent ...the food was great ...the crew was so helpful and friendly ...and the guides were expert! What more can I say?!

We had great weather and smooth seas.

All in all, it was a great trip and we had a wonderful time. We will be recommending it to anyone who would like to go to Galapagos.

Also, the Mirolindo Hotel was lovely and having Leonardo as our personal guide around Quito was a very nice bonus.
